As part of a major, multi-phase resort development by Allegiant Airlines, PBD staff were commissioned to provide conceptual design, planning and landscape architectural design services for a new waterfront resort located on the Peace River in Port Charlotte, FL. The project features a 1.5 mile, elevated public waterfront promenade with new shopping and dining opportunities, multiple amenity pools; including a rooftop pool area along with the world's longest feature pool with views overlooking the peace river and waterfall elements connecting multiple amenity deck levels with private cabana structures and shade lounge areas supporting all phases of the final development build-out. Guests are greeted on arrival with a lush tropical environment with natural rockscape water feature announcing arrival at the hotel's porte-cochere.
As part of this project PBD staff developed detailed theming of branding elements including iconic entry gateway elements, custom lighting features, signage and wayfinding conceptual design, entry water feature elements, multiple phase resort pools, integration of adjacent outdoor restaurant dining areas, and 3-d visualization image and flyover graphics for client review and approval of design. In addition to landscape architectural services, PBD design staff will provide full construction management through the course of this project.
