PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

PBD principals and design staff while at a prior firm (VHB MillerSellen, previously MSCW) were commissioned by Seminole County to provide full planning and landscape architecture design services for the development of the US 17-92 CRA Corridor Master Plan and Development Best Practice Design Guidelines. Currently one of the largest CRA’s in the State of Florida encompassing 13 miles of urban corridor, this CRA includes multiple County and municipal jurisdictions. Mr. Perry, while serving as Director of Urban Design & Landscape Architectural Services for VHB MillerSellen, served as the project director and lead planner/landscape architect for the project.  Mr. Perry led all public meetings and public information updates throughout the course of the project. This project was approved and adopted in January 2012.

The scope of this project included developing a complete inventory of all land uses, development conditions, identification of potential catalyst redevelopment areas, development of catalyst redevelopment master planning studies, development of corridor streetscape standards and cost programming, and the development of commercial and mixed-use development best practice design guidelines to help guide all future new and redevelopment efforts.
