Teamed with Ustler Development and Baker Barrios Architects, principals of PBD redeveloped the urban environment master plan and the concept development for a series of public urban parks, for what has been termed “Orlando Future Creative Village”.  Central to the creative village area was the concept of a park that would serve as the signature, organizing, gathering space.  To exemplify the creative village concept and its connection to the future creative class, PBD designed the central park to have iconic urban elements such as a massive flowing vertical grid extending over the park space which represents the flow of technology manifested in a physical and visual form.  Designed to be a fully livable urban work environment, Creative Village will include residential opportunities, office space, higher educational institutions, hotels, and local retail throughout. With the approvals in place for the future University of Central Florida downtown campus, this urban redevelopment project is poised to continue downtown Orlando’s successful urban growth.
