Creating Community Spaces
PBD was commissioned to oversee the theming, master planning, and development of parks and open spaces for a 1,750-acre residential project. This initiative included the creation of eight parks and over three miles of trail systems, integrating both active and passive recreational opportunities. PBD led the project from conceptual design to construction, managing the creation of construction documents and the coordination of final permits, ensuring that all open space and recreational areas met the project’s vision and regulatory requirements.
Master Planning Waterleigh: PBD’s Streetscape and Park Design Leadership
Perry Becker Design (PBD) has played a crucial role in developing various park spaces, streetscapes, and community amenities over several years. As part of the expansive 3,800-acre Waterleigh Development in west Orange County, Florida, commissioned by DR Horton Communities, PBD led the master planning and design of streetscapes, trail systems, and parks. The scope included hardscape, landscape, and irrigation design, as well as a detailed signage and wayfinding strategy for both vehicular and pedestrian networks. PBD’s focus on cohesive theming and seamless integration has enhanced the community’s aesthetic and functionality.
