Giving Back

We believe in a shared responsibility in creating environments that ignite in us the passion we need to build a better world. The built environment should inspire discovery, with cohesive programming that tells a story connecting its users with your purpose.

Equipped with machetes and shovels, we recently joined forces with the Orianne Center for Indigo Conservation (OCIC) to help prepare their property edge for a controlled burn. Our ongoing relationship with OCIC allows us to support their critical conservation efforts by taking on tasks like weed removal and fence clearing. This partnership enables their team to focus more on their mission of species conservation, and we’re proud to continue assisting them in meaningful ways.

Center for Great Apes

Our Perry Becker Design team recently partnered with AOA to volunteer at the Center for Great Apes. It was a rewarding day focused on biodiversity and conservation, where individuals united to support the welfare of chimpanzees and orangutans. In addition to our efforts for the animals, we also built picnic tables for the animal care staff, contributing to the comfort and well-being of those who dedicate their lives to caring for these remarkable creatures.

Bowl-A-Thon for Junior Achievement

For the past several years, PBD has proudly participated with Disney VoluntEARS in the annual Bowl-A-Thon for Junior Achievement Central Florida. Aligned with the mission of “Empowering, Inspiring, and Preparing Young People to Succeed,” these events area typically a huge hit, often times raising over $15,000 to support programs that equip young people with the skills they need for future success.

Eatonville Boys & Girls Club Garden

PBD is partnering with the Boys & Girls Club of Eatonville, Florida, to create an educational garden for their students. This community project features elevated planting beds and shaded areas, offering a hands-on learning experience in growing and caring for herbs, vegetables, and flowering plants. The garden will also serve as a pollinator space, attracting wildlife like hummingbirds, bees, and butterflies, while fostering environmental education and appreciation among club members.

Family Promise Orlando

PBD staff recently volunteered to assist with the installation of Family Promise’s Family Day Center, which temporarily houses displaced families. With full funding secured for the project, Family Promise ordered new furniture and finishes for the Shelter Rooms. PBD’s team eagerly contributed by assembling furniture and painting, helping to create a welcoming and functional space for families in need during their time of transition. This effort reflects our commitment to giving back to the community and supporting those in need.
