Our TEAM is strategically made up of a variety of experts who support our design efforts on multiple levels. Our PROCESS is purposefully collaborative, where we believe the very best design comes from engaging as a team rather than individuals. Our PASSION drives us to explore the bounds of design to meet both the current and future needs of our clients. We see our role as both designers and facilitators to help our clients realize their vision. Our TEAM has excellent chemistry, professional respect, mutual confidence and trust while bringing a wide network of resources and fresh ideas inspired by diverse, global project experience.
Our Founders
David Perry
Managing Principal
Mr. Perry has an extensive professional career in hospitality/resort planning, community planning and themed entertainment design.
Mr. Perry has served as the Design Director for some of the most prestigious design firms in Orlando since 1994. With over 25 years of experience, he has designed projects throughout the world with specific emphasis in the Caribbean, Latin America and the US. For the majority of his career he has led both multi-disciplinary design teams as well as in-house teams of planners, landscape architects, graphic artists and construction managers.
His specific passions are in eco-tourism design, tourism planning and programming and site specific landscape architectural design and construction.
Mr. Perry regularly serves as the design and construction project manager for the most complex projects to ensure the design solutions are seamless and fully developed.
Keith Becker
Principal
Mr. Becker started his career as an Imagineer for Walt Disney World, and worked for Disney for over 14 years. He led both design and construction management of a wide variety of projects such as Animal Kingdom, Disney’s Fantasyland redevelopment, multiple MGM themed venue expansions, Disney Westside, multiple Disney hotel and waterfront development expansions, and multiple public venue area designs.
His experience has been solely developed around creating “experience” for the user.
After leaving Disney in 2002, Mr. Becker joined the firm of Canin Associates where he managed such notable projects as the Ritz Carlton and JW Marriott at the Grande Lakes resort here in Orlando.
In 2002 Mr. Becker joined Mr. Perry as a senior landscape architectural project manager. They have worked together ever since on numerous hospitality, resort, themed entertainment and public sector urban design projects throughout Florida and the Caribbean.
Our Team Leaders
Spenser Gruenenfelder, PLA
BIM Lead/Digital Innovation/Team Leader
Spenser has extensive experience in Themed Entertainment and Hospitality design, serving as Area Development BIM Coordinator and Production Manager on complex projects. He is skilled in all aspects of design and construction and regularly contributes as a QA/QC Team Member, ensuring thorough cross-checks of all outgoing document sets.
David Harrison, PLA
Principal/Team Leader
David blends his experience as a zookeeper, horticultural intern at Walt Disney World Resort, and construction laborer with his design training to collaborate effectively with clients, consultants, and contractors. He is passionate about creating functional, aesthetically pleasing spaces that foster connections and help build relationships through his work.
Bill Poulin, PLA
Senior Design Director/Team Leader
For more than 30 years, Bill’s phenomenally accomplished career has placed him in leadership positions with EDAW, Canin Associates, Walt Disney Imagineering and most recently Atkins, where he served as their National Director of Landscape Architecture. In addition to his experience in Land Development Planning, Landscape Architecture and Design/Construction Management, Bill’s deep knowledge in the application of technology and integrated delivery, including BIM and VDC, adds tremendous value to our team.
Dustin Serna
Senior Associate/Team Leader
With over 20 years of experience in hospitality and resort planning, Dustin is an expert in landscape architecture design and construction. His skills encompass all design and construction phases, including project management, conceptual design, and construction management, for successful hospitality projects in the U.S. and internationally.
Derick Taylor, PLA
Associate Principal/Team Leader
Derick, a Senior Landscape Architect and Team Leader with 16 years of experience, leads complex projects in resort, hospitality, and themed entertainment sectors. He manages multi-disciplinary teams, oversees master planning, detailed design, and construction. His responsibilities include contracts management, project programming, design management, and construction oversight.

Jacob is a designer in our land development and themed entertainment studios, creating detailed design and construction documentation for projects from multi-family residential developments to thematic resort renovations. His meticulous attention to detail is crucial to our project process, ensuring precision and quality throughout each phase.
Abram Broussard
Landscape Architectural Designer
Abram, a designer in our hospitality and themed entertainment studios, excels at crafting exterior environments that support thematic narratives. His enthusiasm for storytelling drives him to create immersive spaces that enhance the overall theme, making him a valuable asset in developing engaging and cohesive design experiences.
Tara Carey
Landscape Architectural Designer
As a landscape and thematic designer for our firm, Tara is an integral part of our thematic design team. Her responsibilities range from concept design and presentation development, detailed construction design and construction management assistance on a wide variety of projects ranging from urban environments and public parks to theme parks and zoological venues. She is instrumental to our design visioning process adding fresh new ideas and perspectives for each project.

Landscape Architectural Designer
Austin is a highly skilled designer with expertise in land development, landscape architecture, and thematic design. His diverse experience allows him to create innovative and effective design solutions, integrating practical and aesthetic considerations to enhance project outcomes across various design disciplines.
Sydney Fisk
Project Manager
Sydney works extensively with our parks, thematic design and zoological projects providing design collaboration and documentation for highly complex design projects. Her international travels and expertise in sustainable design allows her to create exceptionally immersive environments that are both visually correct and sustainable. Her innate ability to convey her design vision both graphically by hand and in 3-D imaging and animations makes her a phenomenally valuable member of our team to create graphics for Clients which convey their vision.
Jillian Hop
Office/Accounting Manager
Jillian is our office and accounting manager and is highly organized and proactive with over 12 years of experience in administrative support and office operations. Her expertise includes overseeing office supplies, handling correspondence, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. Jillian is dedicated to creating an efficient and positive work environment. Her keen attention to detail and commitment to fostering team collaboration contribute significantly to the office’s overall success.
Ryan Hunt, PLA
Project Manager
Ryan is a Landscape Architect with Perry Becker Design. Ryan provides critical design collaboration, construction design and construction administration for a wide variety of Urban design related projects. Ryan is well versed in highly detailed landscape design and horticultural construction practices catered to the specific environments created in an urban environment and understands the regulatory requirements well, enabling him to achieve successful results with both agency approval, as well as in the field.

Landscape Architectural Designer
Landon, a designer in our zoological and themed entertainment studios, merges his passion for creating immersive, user-focused spaces with a deep respect for nature. His designs, inspired by natural ecosystems, prioritize sustainability and seamlessly integrate with local environments, contributing positively to both user experience and the environment.
Jesse Muller
Business Development/Marketing Manager
Prior to his current role in Business Development and Marketing, Jesse was mostly behind the scenes as one of our lead design associates in our Zoological and Themed Entertainment Studio. His professional dedication and passion for zoological and thematic design is unmatched and he is a true leader in the industry. Jesse is now on the front lines as our brand champion, fusing his knowledge of landscape architecture into developing new business opportunities for our team.
Wayne Nemec, PLA
Project Manager
Wayne Nemec brings extensive experience from a leading Thematic Design Firm in California, where he collaborated with Disney, Universal Studios, and other major park developers in the US and Asia. At Perry Becker Design, Wayne serves as both a Design Manager and Project Manager in the Thematic Design Studio. His exceptional communication, concept design, and construction skills enable him to manage complex projects with meticulous attention to detail.
