New Fantasyland
As part of the largest expansion in Magic Kingdom’s history, New Fantasyland was designed to transport guests into the heart of beloved Disney stories. This immersive area features meticulously crafted environments, where guests can step into iconic settings such as Belle’s village, Prince Eric’s castle, and the Enchanted Forest. Our team played a key role in shaping these magical spaces, from the lush landscapes that enhance each tale to the intricate details that bring the fantasy to life.
Fairytales come to life
Perry Becker Design had the privelage to work with Disney Imagineering from the schematic phase of this project through construction administration including all master planning, area development design and integration of show set elements. Designed largely for the perspective of classic animation, this project utilized several original Disney characters in its imagery and prop placements. Harkening back to by-gone days of Disney, guests are immersed in a feature animation world.
Largest Expansion To Date
New Fantasyland doubled the original size of Fantasyland and is the largest expansion in the history of the Magic Kingdom. Among these additions was a retheme of the Barnstormer kiddie coaster, to allow a better fit with the new Storybook Circus theme and the Seven Dwarves Mine Train which features five-car coaster trains designed to sway independently as they swing around the track. To this day it remains one of the most popular attractions at Walt Disney World.
