Walt Disney Imagineering enlisted Perry Becker Design to bring the beloved Toy Story films to life in an immersive real-world experience, allowing guests to fully step into the whimsical world of the toys. From the early Blue-Sky concept phase through to construction administration, Perry Becker Design played a key role in transforming this iconic vision into reality.
Crafting Andy’s Backyard: Bringing the Toy Story Universe to Life
The design process encompassed the creation of multiple attractions tailored for both adults and children, with a keen focus on capturing the intricate details essential to faithfully representing the Toy Story universe. Perry Becker Design meticulously handled all aspects of construction documentation, including thematic paving, curbs, and walls, as well as the selection and arrangement of plant materials. Additionally, the team oversaw the integration of thematic seating and other show elements, ensuring a seamless and enchanting experience for guests as they step into Andy’s backyard and interact with their favorite Toy Story characters.
