Creating a Luxury Transitional Care Facility with 5-Star Amenities
Perry Becker’s design team collaborated closely with the owner, management, and project architect to create a one-of-a-kind transitional care facility, offering amenities on par with a 5-star resort. Built on a foundation of hospitality and exceptional service, the facility is designed to support full transitional care, allowing residents to move seamlessly through independent living, assisted living, temporary rehabilitation/respite stays, mild dementia care, advanced memory care, and extended congregate living.
Holistic Design for Active Living and Therapeutic Care
Designed to meet the needs of residents at a varying level of social and physical activity levels, the facility was designed with both indoor and outdoor active and passive amenities and dining areas, a series of public gardens as well as specialized therapeutic care gardens to meet the specific needs for both rehabilitation patients and memory care patients.

Project Story
Scenic Views and Firework-Filled Nights
At HarborChase, the design of the site was more than just about creating a beautiful space—it was about harnessing the natural features of Central Florida to enhance residents’ daily experience. The property’s unique grade change became the focal point of the design, starting with the parking and porte-cochere at the higher elevation in the front, and gently sloping down to reveal the formal dining room overlooking the pool at the back of the building.
From every level of the residence, guests were treated to panoramic views of Spring Lake, a pristine, spring-fed body of water spanning over 100 acres. The dining terrace became a favorite gathering spot, offering the best of these scenic vistas, especially at sunset.
But the outdoor spaces didn’t end there. The lower level Wellness Suite opened into a vibrant activity area, complete with a pool, a mini-golf course, and a cozy cabana. Whether residents were staying active with a swim or a game of golf, or unwinding by the fire in the cabana, there was always something special to enjoy. Each evening, the magic of Central Florida came alive as the sky lit up with fireworks from Disney World and Universal Studios, transforming the outdoor spaces into a captivating, immersive environment that blended relaxation with the spectacle of the nightly displays.
