SeaWorld Sesame Street
Sesame Street Land at SeaWorld Orlando opened early 2019. The neighborhood, centered around the iconic 123 Stoop, features key elements from the set, bringing the beloved children’s television show to life. You can walk around the neighborhood to your favorite places, including Abby’s Garden, Hooper’s Store, and Big Birds nest.
Constructing the Plot: Turning TV Magic into Real World Wonders
The design team was challenged to translate television show set elements into fully constructible, code-compliant features, all while preserving the playful and whimsical spirit of the original set design. With careful attention to detail, the team delivered design solutions that maintained the neighborhood’s original aesthetic, ensuring a seamless blend of creativity and functionality.
Where Everyone Belongs: Creating Lifelong Memories at Sesame Street Land
Sesame Streets main focus of inclusion and empathy was woven into the design of the space, creating an immersive world for all to enjoy. Sesame Street Land is not just a place to come and be entertained. It is a place for multiple generations to bond over a shared experience, meet the characters who shaped your life, and remember what it’s like to be a kid.

PROJECT STORY
Inclusive Fun: Sesame Street Land’s Autism-Certified Approach
A key feature of Sesame Street Land is its thoughtful incorporation of decompression zones, quiet spaces that offer a sensory break for guests who may feel overwhelmed. This is part of SeaWorld Orlando’s larger initiative to make the park more accessible, leading to its designation as the world’s first autism-certified theme park land. These decompression zones, along with designated quiet spaces and a focus on sensory-friendly experiences, help ensure that all guests, including those with sensory sensitivities, can fully enjoy the park.
