From Pixels to Pavement: PBD’s 3D and Construction for Disney
Throughout the course of the project, PBD also provided full 3D animation modeling to assist in design reviews and client presentations. As the project advanced into construction, PBD oversaw materials procurement and provided on-site construction administration, ensuring the project’s vision was realized. Now open to the public, the island destination stands as a testament to PBD’s expertise in bringing immersive and thematic environments to life, offering guests a unique and unforgettable Disney experience in the Bahamas.

Project Story
Protecting Paradise: Sustainable Design at Lighthouse Point
Disney’s Lighthouse Point on Eleuthera is designed with a strong focus on conservation and sustainability. One of the key conservation efforts is the decision to develop only 16% of the island, preserving the natural landscape and protecting the native flora and fauna. The island will also rely on renewable energy sources, with the goal of generating 90% of its energy needs from solar power. Elevated boardwalks were constructed to minimize the impact on the island’s terrain, allowing guests to explore while maintaining the integrity of the land. Disney has also worked with local Bahamian artists and cultural advisors to integrate the rich heritage of the Bahamas into the project, ensuring that environmental education and cultural appreciation go hand-in-hand. These efforts align with Disney’s long-term commitment to conservation and sustainable tourism practices
